The Landplan – Chesterton Humberts
The Landplan began life as a four-page newsletter about the rural property market. In the spring of 2011 it was given a complete redesign – along with its current name – and expanded to 20 pages. This was a team project I worked on with two other designers. Each quarter we are given the subjects that each article will cover, along with an estimated word count. From this we create the layout, illustrations and source appropriate photography. Shortly before the deadline we are given the copy in a Word document. We take it in turns to create the cover and overall feel of the magazine, which gives us the perfect opportunity to experiment with different illustrative styles.
